The amount of sleep you need depends on how much you use your brain during the day. Due to this you need more sleep if you have been more physically active during the daytime. Women are known for doing more activities at the same time and they as we can say overload their brain, and they need more sleep.
As concerning men, we cannot say that every man needs the same amount of sleep, this depends on their job. For example, a man whose job puts a lot of effort on his brain-as decision making. He also needs more sleep than other men, although maybe not as much as women. This is due to the fact that women’s brains are more complex, so they will always need a little bit more sleep than men. It has been estimated that the difference is about 20 minutes more for women, but this doesn’t apply to every particular man and woman.
Women need more than 8 hours
It is a fact we all know that our body needs at least 8 hours of sleep to rest and to recover energy. Professor Horne distinguished men’s and woman’s brain and states that the women’s brain is wired differently than men’s and is more complex, so women need more sleep.
What makes women’s brain more complex?
Women tend to do multi-tasking and due to this, their brain is uses more energy that needs to be recovered, and the best way to do this is by sleeping.
What happens to Tired Men?
Tired Men are men who have more complex jobs such as decision-making, need more sleep to regain lost energy, but still not as much as women.
